Foden is the oldest truck brand in the World, with the very first Foden Trucks being powered by steam. Production commenced in 1884 and ceased in late 2005, with most existing Foden customers moving over to DAF, which had in the later years of Foden production, supplied a lot of common components, namely cabs.

The Foden Alpha Cab is the same as a DAF CF, with the only change being the grill badge.

Foden was a firm favourite in the construction sector as their trucks were lightweight and as a new customer you could specify a choice of the engine between Caterpillar and Cummins as well as a gearbox of your choice, either ZF or Eaton.

Even though Foden’s have not been manufactured for over twenty years, there are still plenty of used ones on the market today. As time marches on, what remains are being purchased and exported by the likes of ourselves, with the remainder finding a new home in the collector’s market.
